Caps Player of the Game: Aliaksei Protas stood out to me the most on a line that was responsible for both of the Caps’ goals in regulation, picking up the primary helper on Hendrix Lapierre’s tally and providing a screen that helped Joel Edmundson’s blast from deep get through Semyon Varlamov.
