The Capitals are back in Washington, and they brought some fighting spirit with them back from the Motor City!
Just four minutes into this contest, Caps winger Jakub Vrana flew down the wing like a baby Boeing, dipsy-dooing around his defenders and re-collecting his own puck before slinging a pass across to a crashing Tom Wilson. Tom the Bomb tipped it in, and the Caps were up 1-0 quick.
But halfway through the frame, Philadelphia’s Jakub Voracek, not to be out-Jakubed, answered back for the Flyers, blasting home a missile to tie it at 1-1 after one.
