Andre Burakovsky got the Capitals on the board first with a Snipe™ through the legs of Eric Tangradi and over MacKenzie Blackwood’s shoulder (seriously, check out the replay of this one because it was awesome). After Burky’s goal, however, there wasn’t much happening on the ice at Prudential Center until the very end of the period when Kenny Agostino tied things up with just one second left on the clock. Yikes. Tied 1-1 after 20.
Something else to note: Kyle Palmieri, the Devils’ leading scorer, left the New Jersey bench during the first period after an accidental collision with Nick Jensen.
