Tonight the Caps played the worst team in the league, coming off a loss in Tampa last night, and winless in their first six games (with rookie goalie Karel Vejmelka in net looking for his first NHL win). There’s absolutely no reason the Capitals shouldn’t have won the game... but if there ever was a trap game this was it, so the Caps needed to be on their guard.
Plus: The Capitals held to Coyotes to just 16 shots and six high danger chances on goal in all situations through the whole game.
Minus: The Capitals had SIX power play chances in the game against a team that had the worst penalty kill in the league with a horrific 44.
