The Washington Capitals have traded Anthony Mantha to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a 2024 2nd round pick and 2026 4th round pick. The Capitals are also retaining 50% of Mantha’s $5.7 million salary. TSN’s Darren Dreger was first to report the news, and Elliotte Friedman was first to report the return.
The 29-year-old forward is in the final year of a four-year contract with a cap hit of $5.7 million. He ranked second on the Capitals in goals (20) and first on the team in even-strength tallies (17).
