Capitals Stave Off Flyers Comeback Bid

The Capitals faced the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 2 of a back-to-back on Wednesday night, this time at home. Washington jumped out to a 4-0 lead, then gave up three unanswered goals from Philly, but rebounded with two empty-net goals for the 6-3 victory.

Taylor Raddysh put the Caps on the board first in the opening period with his second goal with the team so far.

Washington then extended the lead with three more goals in the second period. Nic Dowd put the puck in the net right after being in the penalty box, while Connor McMichael scored back-to-back tallies.
