ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have signed center Tim McGauley to a three-year, entry-level contract, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.
McGauley, 20, registered 105 points (42g, 63a) in 72 games with the Braden Wheat Kings (WHL) in 2014-15. The Wilcox, Saskatchewan, native led the Wheat Kings in goals, assists and points last season and ranked third in the WHL in points, fourth in assists and tied for sixth in goals. McGauley was named the Eastern Conference player of the year in 2014-15 and was a finalist for the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy, awarded to the WHL player of the year.
