ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have signed forward Brett Connolly to a one-year, $850,000 contract, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.
Connolly, 24, registered 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) in 71 games with the Boston Bruins last season and earned career highs in points, assists and games played. The 6’2”, 200-pound forward recorded a career-high three assists on Feb. 11 at Winnipeg and scored a career-high 12 goals during the 2014-15 season. Connolly made his NHL debut on Oct. 7, 2011 at Carolina and scored his first career game-winning goal in overtime on Nov.
