ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have signed goaltender Adam Carlson to a two-year, entry-level contract, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.
Carlson, 22, posted a 7-7-3 record with Mercyhurst College (NCAA) this season with a 2.85 goal-against average and a .919 save percentage. The 6’3”, 180-pound goaltender ranked tied for fifth in the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) in save percentage this season, 10th in saves (536) and 11th in goals-against average and wins. Carlson earned his first win of the season on Oct. 24 against Army and made 47 saves on Oct.
