Per the team, the Caps have agreed to a new two-year contract with restricted free agent center Andre Burakovsky:
Burakovsky’s AAV will be $3 million, but he’ll make $2.25 million in 2017-18 and $3.25 million the following season (with a $500,000 signing bonus due to him on July 15 of this year).
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have re-signed right wing Andre Burakovsky to a two-year, $6 million contract, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.
Burakovsky, 22, registered 35 points (12g, 23a) in 64 games with the Capitals during the 2016-17 season, recording career highs in assists and plus/minus (+13).
