The NHL announced the schedule for the Washington Capitals’ second-round matchup against the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference semifinals, an evenly paced slate with games every other day, just like their first-round series win over the New York Islanders.
Madison Square Garden will host Game 1 (Thursday at 7:30 p.m.) and Game 2 (Saturday at 12:30 p.m.) before the series shifts to Verizon Center for Games 3 and 4. Depending on the outcome of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s Game 7 matchup with the Detroit Red Wings, the date of the if-necessary Game 7 will change. If the Lightning win, Capitals-Rangers would be on Wednesday, May 13.
