ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals will compete in the four-team rookie tournament, to be held at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida, from Sept. 12-15, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today. The rookie tournament will also feature top prospects from the Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators and the Tampa Bay Lightning, who will host the event.
“This is a great opportunity for our prospects to compete against other team’s top young players and for us to evaluate our talent,” said MacLellan. “We are also excited for the opportunity to bring this tournament to our great fans at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in the near future.
