Capitals Make Three Selections on Second Day of 2015 NHL Draft

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals selected defensemen Jonas Siegenthaler (57th overall), Connor Hobbs (143rd overall) and Colby Williams (173rd overall) on the second day of the 2015 NHL Draft, held Saturday at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. On Friday, the Capitals selected goaltender Ilya Samsonov with the 22nd overall selection in the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft.

Siegenthaler, 18, was ranked 12th overall among European skaters by NHL Central Scouting. The 6’2”, 220-pound defenseman registered three assists in 41 games with the Zurich Lions of the Swiss League in 2014-15 and led the team in penalty minutes (39).
