Capitals' fourth line starting to find an identity

As the Washington Capitals approach the 20-game mark, Coach Barry Trotz has asked each line “to work things out themselves.” He provided some guidance, but he wanted each trio to come together on its own.

For Washington’s fourth line, an identity is starting to form. Trotz has shuffled that line more than any other, but with Michael Latta centering Brooks Laich and Tom Wilson, it’s starting to find stability and production.

“It’s been a little bit of a revolving door on the fourth line,” Trotz said.

Trotz praised the fourth line after the Capitals’ game at Philadelphia on Thursday night, feeling that the trio had balanced physicality with creating offensive zone time.
