Capitals' fourth line could see some upheaval before trade deadline

In his chat with reporters on Thursday, Capitals General Manager Brian MacLellan confirmed that Washington has at least one move left to be made, needing to clear a relatively small amount cap room to be able to activate Jay Beagle off long-term injured reserve.

Coach Barry Trotz has already said that the team will carry eight defensemen the rest of the way after the addition of Mike Weber. That means the cap room (in the neighborhood of $360,000 in annual cap hit, according to generalfanager.com) will have to be created from the forward corps, as Beagle would give the Capitals two extra forwards.
