These things aren’t for real but it doesn’t make this NHL 20 loss hurt any less for the Washington Capitals.
The Capitals struck first at 6:29 with a shot from Richard Panik from the left face-off circle that clanged off the right post and into the net. Tom Wilson and Nicklas Backstrom had the assists. It was Panik’s 15th goal on the season.
1-0 Washington was the score after 20 with the Caps leading in shots 9-8 and in hits 6-0 including a punishing hit from Radko Gudas on the boards.
