At least Jakub Vrana scored. (Caps Outsider)
The Capitals have looked solid lately, even without Alex Ovechkin. However, Monday was not one of those days, as Washington fell to the Boston Bruins 4-1 just before the holiday break.
After recently winning 10 consecutive games on the road, the Caps have now dropped their last three contests away from home.
Washington wasn’t really able to get much going throughout the game, as they only had a season-low 11 shots on goal. The Bruins fared better with 22 shots.
The lone goal from the Capitals came in the middle frame when Jakub Vrana scored a one-timer on the power play to tie the game at 1-1.
