The Washington Capitals have acquired Anthony Mantha from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Jakub Vrana, Richard Panik, a 2021 first-round draft pick, and a 2022 second-round draft pick in a trade deadline move. NHL Network’s Kevin Weekes was first with the news:

Mantha, 26, under contract through 2023-24 at a cap hit of $5.7 million. He has 11 goals and 10 assists for Detroit this season.
Anthony Mantha, acquired by WSH, is an excellent playdriver at both ends of the ice and a strong scorer.
