Today on the eve of NHL Free Agency teams had to submit their final qualifying offers to their restricted free agents. The deadline was 5 p.m. Here’s what the Washington Capitals did.
The Caps have extended qualifying offers to defenseman Martin Fehervary and forwards Riley Sutter and Henrik Borgstrom.
The Caps elected not to issue qualifying offers to defenseman Gabriel Carlsson and forward Kody Clark.
Gabriel Carlsson played in six games for the Caps recording two assists and was a key contributor to the Hershey Bears Calder Cup run. In the regular season he had one goal and 14 assists for 15 points and two assists in the playoffs.
