From 2007-2011, Bruce Boudreau, or “Gabby” as many called him, was the head honcho for the high flying Washington Capitals. He was beloved by the fans and brought the Caps to offensive heights that they had never seen before.
However, after several disappointing playoff runs and simply a need for a change of scenery in Washington, he was fired less than two months into the 2011-12 NHL season. He was replaced by former Capital Dale Hunter.

While Boudreau wasn’t out of work for long (he was hired by the Ducks two days later), Washington Capitals fans seemed to keep a closer eye on their former coach’s new team.
