With the Washington Capitals‘ win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night, Braden Holtby became the second-fastest goaltender to reach 250 career wins in NHL history.
Holtby earned his 250th win in his 409th game. Only Ken Dryden, the Hockey Hall of Famer who played for Montreal in the 1970s, reached that milestone faster.
With tonight’s win, his 250th of his career, Braden Holtby has become the second fastest goaltender in NHL history to record 250 wins. He’s one of just 56 goaltenders in NHL history to reach the mark, and one of 12 active goaltenders.
