Oliver Bjorkstrand scored twice, including the overtime game-winner, in Lake Erie’s 3-2 win over the Hershey Bears. The Bears now sit one loss away from a sweep, a disappointing end to an otherwise promising season.
Hershey only fired 19 shots on goal for the duration of the contest; six came in the first, seven in the second, six again in the third, and none in the 80 seconds of overtime. Justin Peters saved 25 of Lake Erie’s 28 shots on goal.
Ryan Stanton opened the scoring for the Chocolate and White, the first time for such an occurrence this series.
