After dropping Wednesday night’s contest to the Hartford Wolfpack, the Hershey Bears looked to start the weekend with a win. Tonight’s opponent, the Binghamton Senators. In their first meeting this season, the Senators shutout the Bears 3-0. This would not be the case tonight, as Hershey put up a touchdown, winning 7-2.
Although the Senators took the early lead in the contest, the Bears did not back down. The Bears got into penalty trouble early in the first, but the penalty kill unit shutdown the offensive onslaught by the Senators.
The Senators opened the scoring on a breakaway chance by Phil Varone, beating Bears goaltender Joe Cannata glove side.
