The Hershey Bears completed the sweep of the Hartford Wolf Pack last night with a 3-1 win in Game 3 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The hero was none other than Lucas Johansen who broke a 1-1 tie in the third period at the XL Center. The Bears are in the conference finals for the first time since 2016.
The Wolf Pack outshot the Bears 13-4 in the opening period and it was their final shot that beat Hershey goaltender Hunter Shepard from Turner Elson at 17:40.
Hershey tied it late in the second period as Mike Vecchione fed Vincent Iorio and scored his first career Calder Cup playoff goal at 15:05.
