A couple days ago I wrote about the likeliest trade destination for Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov. I picked the Colorado Avalanche. I immediately got questions about what the return would be. I thought about it. If I’m Brian MacLellan, I work on making a deal for Artturi Lehkonen.
Lehkonen just turned 28 years old and is coming off a year where he had 21 goals and 30 assists for 51 points. That was a career high season.
The left winger who could slot in for Anthony Mantha or somewhere on the top six was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Draft at 55th overall in the second round.
