On Sunday, while the NHL had its festivities in Nashville, the AHL’s festivities had just begun. Two Hershey Bears, Chris Bourque and Connor Carrick participated in the skills competition.
Carrick participated in the hardest shot, posting a 95.0 MPH slap shot in his first attempt and a 94.9 MPH slapper on his second. Carrick did not score on his breakaway attempt.
Bourque, meanwhile was featured in a rapid fire competition along with accuracy shooting. He did not score in his rapid fire competition. In this competition, he and Dustin Jeffrey (SPR) took turns rapidly firing pucks at Peter Budaj (ONT).
