Between assimilating with his fourth different team in four seasons, returning from a brief sojourn in Iowa to the New England area and handling the pressure of performing as a former second-round pick of the Washington Capitals, forward Zach Sanford also found himself confronting the universal task of moving to college. After two starring seasons at Pinkerton Academy in New Hampshire, one in tier III juniors and one more in the U.S. Hockey League, Sanford finally made the leap, replete with all the challenges.
“I think the one big thing [is it’s] helped me mature a lot,” he said.
