Roy Batty is one of Blade Runner’s most memorable characters. He exhibits an empathy towards his fellow replicants as well as his enemies that is unparalleled by others in the film.
In one poignant scene, we see an interaction between him and Eldon Tyrell, his creator. Roy clearly exhibits a sort of anger towards Tyrell, an anger that is not explicitly explained; however, we do witness Roy questioning Tyrell on ways to extend a replicant’s lifespan past four years. Of course, why would Roy necessarily care about his lifespan if he had no regard for life?
