The Wake Forest University basketball team suspended leading scorer Devin Thomas two games and dismissed sophomore forward Cornelius Hudson from the program for violations of an "undisclosed athletic department policy," according to the Associated Press (via ESPN.com).
Demon Deacons head coach Danny Manning said Thomas and Hudson "have had lapses of judgment, and hopefully they will learn from this," per the Associated Press.
Although Wake Forest (10-16, 1-13) has struggled mightily this season, Thomas has been one of the team's few bright spots.
Through 26 games, the senior forward is averaging team-high marks of 15.
