Randolph Childress, a true Wake Forest legend, has added another accomplishment to his illustrious career in Winston-Salem. On Wednesday afternoon, Wake Forest announced that Randolph Childress has been promoted from assistant coach to associate head coach.
Randolph served as an assistant to the athletic director in 2011-2012, before transitioning to the director of player development for the men’s basketball team in 2012-2013. He has served as an assistant coach for the past three seasons. Considering that he’s only been an assistant coach for three seasons, this is a relatively rapid promotion for Chill.
I can’t specifically speak to Randolph’s role as a coach/teacher of the game, but it’s clear the impact that he has made on the recruiting trail.
