A phone call to their parents is the last thing many college students would expect from Wake Forest. However, in specific violations of the student code of conduct, this may now be a very real possibility.
Per the code of conduct, parents will be notified in “all alcohol-related violations and warnings, all substance use/abuse-related violations, as well as all violations of the off-campus misconduct policy.”
Many students have been surprised to find that this is the case.
“I was not at all aware of this policy,” freshman John Waskowicz said. “I feel like students, especially freshmen, should be made aware of the school’s stance on this issue from the beginning.
