Too much studio interference can hurt a film

Last week, I discussed the best and worst blockbusters of the summer. Among these films, I discussed Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four. Not only was the film a disappointment, sources, including director Josh Trank, have claimed that the film’s production was heavily interfered with by the studio. The result was a mediocre film.

When people think about the factors that are involved in a movie’s development, people tend to think of directors, producers and screenwriters as well as the actors that portray the characters of the film; however, there is one overlying factor that many overlook: the studio, the foundation of a film’s production.
