On Saturday Wake Forest will head to Durham to take on the Duke Blue Devils. Both teams currently sit at 1-0, although they got there in very different ways. Duke defeated North Carolina Central 49-6, leaving no doubt in its season opener, while Wake Forest struggled immensely on offense, finally holding off Tulane 7-3.
Tomorrow marks the ten year anniversary of the 2006 Wake Forest-Duke football game. A game that, at the time, was seemingly irrelevant except for the fact that it may help the Deacs make a bowl game after three straight years of near misses.
