Syracuse Orange running back Ervin Philips suffered what he called a “minor setback” regarding his lower body injury and will be out for today’s game against Wake Forest at the Carrier Dome. Philips announced the setback on his personal Twitter page.
Minor set back, I'll be back orange nation.

Just what the injury is remains a mystery. Stephen Bailey of Syracuse.com reported that Philips had been seen on crutches and favoring his left foot, while Chris Carlson reported that Philips had surgery for a torn meniscus and would be out for several weeks.
