From participation in the first Republican debate to the attendance of the Iowa State Fair, campaigns for the 2016 presidency have already kicked into high gear. Although the primaries are months away, media coverage of the horse race for both nominations is already saturating traditional networks and social media.
According to Public Policy Polling, North Carolina polls have Donald Trump (24 percent), Ben Carson (14 percent) and Jeb Bush (13 percent) as the top three candidates for the Republican nomination.
In the last month, Trump has surged, gaining eight points, while candidate Scott Walker’s luster has dimmed, as he has lost six points in the most recent survey.
