Applying for jobs and internships is an exciting time. But, before you hit the submit button, you should make sure your cover letter is perfect. Follow these tips to help you land that dream job:

Research

Are you applying to a more traditional company? Stick to a more traditional three or four paragraph cover letter. Are you applying to a creative start-up? Think out of the box and show how you are creative, too. Figure out what the office culture, motto and goals are and decide how to incorporate them appropriately.

Boast, but not excessively

Don’t focus on why the job is perfect for you, but why you’re perfect for the job.
