Carter Holmes first discovered music when he was six years old and wandered away from gymnastics practice, across the parking lot and into a music studio.
“I thought, ‘well, any music studio can teach me lessons,’” Holmes said.
Even though he wanted to play the flute, he chose to start with the piano because his family already had one in their home. He dabbled with the violin during high school, but the piano has stuck with him throughout the years.
When Holmes was looking at life after high school, he considered going to a conservatory for his music.
