It wasn’t very pretty soccer, nor was it very fun to watch, but the No. 1 nationally ranked Wake Forest soccer team advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 1-0 victory over Columbia.
The same could not be said of several other seeded teams, as: No. 8 Clemson, No. 11 Virginia, No. 12 Notre Dame, No. 13 Michigan, No. 14 Georgetown, and No. 16 VCU were all upset in the Round of 32.
The Deacs will take on the Butler Bulldogs on Sunday, November 26th at 5 PM at Spry Stadium. Butler upset the No. 16 seeded VCU Rams by a 3-2 scoreline.
