Incoming freshman Jack Harrison garners the top national award for high school soccer players
Jack Harrison, an incoming freshman at Wake Forest University, was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year on Tuesday. The honor is awarded to the top high school soccer player. It also combines athletic prowess with great academics, and high character on and off the field.
Harrison is the second Demon Deacon player to be awarded the National Player of the Year, following former Deac Pat Phelan, who won the award in 2003-2004.
Hailing from Bolton, England, the midfielder Harrison tallied 16 goals, and amassed an incredible 27 assists in leading Berkshire School in Massachusetts to the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class A (whew that's a mouthful!
