The Wake Forest Demon Deacons found themselves down just one point to the Duke Blue Devils at halftime of Tuesday night's contest, but the Blue Devils pulled away late, and ultimately prevailed by a final score of 79-71. The Deacs were led by senior Devin Thomas, who scored 16 points and hauled in 13 rebounds, while Duke was led by Grayson Allen, who lit up the Deacs for 30 points.
Wake Forest was able to remain in the contest so long because of the ability to knock down the deep ball. The Deacs hit 7 of their first 12 three-point attempts, but missed the final 9 and finished just 7 for 21 (33%).
