The Wake Forest baseball team, led by manager Tom Walter, swept through their first four games of the year - all from the friendly confines in Winston-Salem. Wake knocked off Georgetown, UMBC, and VMI over the weekend and then returned to action Tuesday to come from behind and beat in-state rival Davidson to remain undefeated. They now travel across the country to face the USC Trojans, who are ranked 20th in this week's Coaches Poll despite a rocky start at 2-2.
The Deacs beat the Georgetown Hoyas 3-1 in the opener last Friday behind a stellar pitching performance from starter Parker Dunshee.
