Dennis Smith Jr., one of the top point guards in the class of 2016 and considered the top point guard by several media outlets, has trimmed his list to 6 schools.
Those six schools are: Kentucky, Duke, NC State, UNC, Wake Forest, and Louisville. All signs point to this battle possibly being between Kentucky and Duke, with Kentucky entering the foray just recently with an offer last week. The 247 Crystal Ball feature currently has him at 89% for the Wolfpack, but many of those picks were made before Kentucky’s recent offer.
There is no word yet on a possible decision date, but you have to think that Kentucky will be there in the end, and will be a strong possibility with Isaiah Briscoe, Jamal Murray, and maybe even Tyler Ulis poised to make a jump to the NBA after next season.
