Wake Forest had their eyes set on winning their first ACC Championship in men’s golf in decades, unfortunately, April 26 was not their day. That day belonged to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who edged out the Clemson Tigers in a playoff to win the 2015 ACC Championship April 26.
From the beginning of the tournament on April 24, Wake Forest got off to a slow start that would ultimately doom its chances to rally for valued championship.
“We knew that after the first day, we would have to shoot 15-under,” head coach Jerry Haas said. “I think the disappointing part is that we played so well the week before against a lot of the same teams.
