A young American woman once sat in a quaint restaurant in Rome, pen and paper in hand, and thought to herself, “What am I really going to say about a bowl of pasta?” Lauren Friezo was bewitched by the vibrant city and its culinary delights, but it was not enough to write a compelling story. Thankfully, writer’s block was no strange concept for Friezo.
The Wake Forest senior, editor-in-chief of Her Campus, co-chair of PREPARE and founding member of Women’s Philanthropy in Action, has spent her college years breaking through her writer’s block by frequently writing and editing, as well as empowering other women to seek their own voice.
