Colburn earned a narrow victory in the two-way race for DOTW, finishing with 54%. This was his second straight week as the lead back, and he delivered. Colburn gashed Notre Dame’s defense for 120 yards on 20 carries and a score. For context, the Fighting Irish had allowed teams to rush for an average of 117 yards total per game, with that total falling to just 71 yards per game in its three games before Wake.
