Dave Clawson inks new deal to remain the coach at Wake Forest

As first reported by Pete Thamel at Yahoo Sports, Dave Clawson has agreed to a new contract that will make him the head coach at Wake Forest through 2026. The 8 year deal apparently also comes with a significant pay raise, which Clawson has undoubtedly earned after winning back to back to back bowl games.

In the last 3 years, Clawson has posted 3 straight winning seasons and collected bowl wins over Temple, Texas A&M, and Memphis. When asked about the new deal, Clawson said: “Wake Forest is making a significant commitment to personnel, resources and facilities that will benefit the entire program and position us to remain successful.
