Danny Manning and the entire Wake Forest coaching staff did an incredible job to make it into the final two schools for 2018 5-star Ayo Dosunmu, but in the end Illinois and Brad Underwood were able to land a commitment for the very talented combo guard.
Dosunmu announced his decision at 7 PM CST at a Jordan Brand store in front of a contingent of media members and family.
This is the first commitment in the class of 2018 for Brad Underwood, while Wake Forest remains at 11th nationally according to 247Sports.
It is unclear whether or not Wake Forest will call it quits for 2018 or continue to pursue a possible point guard to wrap-up the class.
