The women's soccer team has fallen out of the top 10 after losing 2-3 to Clemson on Sunday. The loss puts the Hokies at 12-2-1 on the season ad 4-2 in conference play. They are now ranked No. 12.
The Tigers scored first in the 17th minute and the Hokies tied the game during the 33rd minute with a goal that was headed in by Alani Johnson off of a pass from Kallie Purify. The score remained tied at intermission. Clemson scored again during the 53-minute mark. Tech then answered with a goal by Candace Cephers. But with only 11 minutes left to play, Clemson's Shannon Horgan scored what would be the game-winning goal.
