Virginia Tech wrestling: Hokies send 9 to NCAA Championships

Caleb Henson has a chance to do something no one in Virginia Tech wrestling history has ever done: Win back-to-back national championships.

The NCAA wrestling national championships kick off March 20 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and the Hokies will be heavily represented. Henson, who went 30-2 in 2024 and won ACC Wrestler of the Year before winning the 149-pound national championship, is 18-0 this season. Henson is the No. 1 overall seed in the 149-pound class.

Henson will face the winner of Teague Travis (Oklahoma State) and Wynton Denkins (Campbell) on Thursday evening.
