Virginia Tech women’s basketball: Lady Hokies just miss NCAA Tournament

After four straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament, the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team just missed the Big Dance in 2024-25. Instead, the Lady Hokies will be a No. 1 seed in the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT).

The Hokies finished the season with an 18-12 record and a 9-9 mark in ACC play. It was a rebuilding year of sorts for Tech under new head coach Megan Duffy, after Kenny Brooks departed after the 2023-24 season, taking several members of the roster, including star guard Georgia Ammore, and recruits with him to Kentucky.

Duffy built a competitive roster that improved throughout the season, and Virginia Tech fans are excited about the future under her leadership.
